Accessibility Statement

INK.D is committed to making our platform usable by as many people as possible, including people with disabilities. This statement describes our current accessibility efforts and known limitations honestly — it is not a certification of full compliance.

1. Conformance Target

We are working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities and more usable for everyone.

2. Measures Already in Place

• —Semantic HTML landmarks and heading structure on public pages
• —Keyboard-navigable interactive controls (buttons, links, form fields, panels)
• —Alt text on informational images (portfolio images, avatars) where content is known
• —Focus-visible states on interactive elements (no removed focus outlines)
• —ARIA labels on icon-only buttons (e.g. show/hide password, close panel)
• —Sufficient colour contrast targeted on primary text and CTAs against the dark theme background
• —Respect for reduced-motion preferences on decorative animations where implemented

3. Known Limitations

We are aware of the following gaps and are actively working through them:

• —Some dashboard chart/canvas visualisations (revenue chart, peak-hours heatmap) are rendered on HTML5 canvas and do not yet expose an accessible text/table alternative for screen readers
• —Some decorative images use next/image or <img> without next/image optimisation, which can affect load performance for assistive technology on slow connections
• —A full independent accessibility audit has not yet been performed — this statement is based on internal review, not third-party certification
• —Some third-party embeds (Google Maps, PayFast checkout) are outside our direct control and follow their own accessibility standards

4. Compatibility

INK.D is designed to work with:

• —Recent versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge
• —Screen readers including VoiceOver (macOS/iOS) and NVDA (Windows) — not yet exhaustively tested against every combination
• —Keyboard-only navigation for all core flows: browsing artists, booking, dashboard management

5. Feedback & Reporting a Barrier

If you experience any difficulty accessing any part of INK.D, please tell us. We treat accessibility issues as bugs, not feature requests, and prioritise them accordingly.

6. Ongoing Commitment

This statement will be updated as we make accessibility improvements. We do not consider accessibility a one-time project — it is reviewed as part of our normal development process for new features.
